Theory ~ Why was "Goblin" chasing human girl?

Hi! As you can see, I decided to post some theories that I thought of. I know that this comic only started, but I already have few of them :P
Sadly, those theories have to wait for new pages to be published. You know, evidence and all. So today, I'm posting the only theory that I could finish now.

Presenting: 

WHY WAS "GOBLIN" CHASING HUMAN GIRL?


Before I start, let me say something. You probably didn't think of why I used quotations marks while writting "Goblin". Well, this theory is merging with another one:

IS THIS CREATURE REALLY GOBLIN?

So, yeah, you can say that there are two theories in one :P

Why do I think it's not goblin? For starters, appearance. Did you see any goblin that looks like THAT:

Me neither. I only know of goblins that look like that:

The only similarity I see there are big ears and that's all. Sure, everyone can have their own idea of it but let's stick with one image, ok?

Aside from this, there's also creature's behavior. From what I read, goblins are cowardly creatures. Tell me, does that looks cowardly to you?

Not really, right? Attacking human, a being that goblins usually avoid, doesn't seem like a manifestation of cowardice to me.

Yeah, you saw right. Goblins avoid humans. Why? They're probably scared of them. And this guy looks like he wants to make a meal of this girl. And being scared of something rather excludes eating it, right?

Well, there is one reason that would make goblin (very stupid one but let's skip this part) go after some human. Money. Everyone knows that goblins love money (especially shiny coins) and collect it for whatever reason. It would be even reasonable... if it wasn't for the fact that this girl doesn't have any.

Her pockets are flat and she doesn't have any bag with her. Even if she had one and she lost it, the goblin would leave her alone and just take her bag with him.

So, there's this one question: Are we really dealing with some form of goblin? Or is it just another creature that authors wanted us to believe in being one? Well, I don't know, but hopefully, we'll find out.
